My uncle Sob called me a while ago. He was asking me if I can help him find a lawyer to help my cousin John who was caught under the influence while driving. You see the state of Arizona is known to be the state of no tolerance. That’s why any wrong move will cause you lots of damage financially and emotionally.

That’s what happened to my cousin John. His license was confiscated and will be suspended. Unfortunately, my uncle cannot afford to lose my cousin’s driving license for he is disabled and needs his driving skills in his daily activity. They actually have a store and a delivery van which my cousin usually drives to supply some goods to their customers. So, just imagine what will happen to their business if John’s license will be suspended. They will definitely lose a lot of money.

Grabeee it’s so HOT!

I’m actually referring to our office. Our air-conditioning unit is busted since Saturday and until now the repairman hasn't arrive! Urgh! We are literally sweating inside the office because we don’t even have any electric fan to beat the scorching heat of the sun.

Yes! Believe it or not, it’s already hot here even though it still the month of January. I didn't even enjoy the cool breeze of the melting snow from the north. Oh well, maybe this is one of the bad effects of global warming. But all of us here are hoping that the repairman will get here very soon! We really cannot work properly with sweats all over our face you know?! Urgh!

That’s what my boss said to me yesterday. I was busy doing some office tasks when he suddenly went out his cubicle and went to my table. I thought he was about to give me additional work but I was surprised that he told me that we should think positive everyday so that something positive will come to our lives daily.

Honestly, I thought he was getting crazy because of his sudden blurt out but I noticed he was handling a book about living a positive life. Then I realized he was just sharing the thoughts he read. I was relieved that I wasn’t working with a crazy boss. Lol! After minutes of discussion I was happy that he shared me a bit of wisdom about life and I can affirm that what he was telling was true for I’ve been there.

I wanted this year to be a happy positive and bountiful year for me and for my family. That’s why one thing I should do first is to THINK POSITIVE! :)

Huh?!

The last quarter of 2011 was a non-blogging season for me. Why?

Well, first of all I got a new job online so my time got restricted for blogging because I’m home away for almost 12 hours ( travel time considered). Second, I my blogging mojo suddenly diminished because of work stress and fatigue. Lastly, I got a little busy with my kids especially when my baby Zak got a little older and a bit giggler – I just couldn’t resist him.

Anyways, I’m getting on track now and hopefully I can do this more often for it also helps me release my emotional burden. Plus I really miss blogging so much that's why I'm doing it again. Wish me luck guys! :)

Hah! Finally, I was able to blog today!

Sorry for the lack of update guys. Life has been busy on my side of world. A lot of things got really complicated and if not for the internet you may not see me posting some blog post again. Kidding! lol!

But quite frankly, 2011 was not a good year for me. Other than having some health problems with my family, our financial stability really melt down last year. Urgh! It was actually my fault and I really blame myself for it. I am not promising to improve my ways but I’m hoping that this year will be a better year for us especially with solving our needs.

After relaying that to her she ask me some private stuff that is usually very common on married couples. I answered some of her queries from where to buy some lingerie to how to use Massage Gel. Travel has been one of my most favorite words in the world, not only that I really love doing it but it has been one of my favorite stress relievers since I started working. But sometimes even though I’m over stress I don’t get the chance to move around and leave my work place because I need to finish some tasks and I have to be responsible on some operations.

I’m really saddened on moments like that but I have no choice. Sometimes one must sacrifice just for someone to live even if it costs its own happiness.

But of course, I don’t want to be the slave of my work forever but if only I have the choice I would definitely travel anywhere around the world just to make myself and my family happy. I think most of you here reading this post or visiting my blog would love to travel as well. Who wouldn't right? Especially if it entails great memories, beautiful places and delicious foods. :)

Christmas is just a few days away and with that many people are on the rush on finishing their Christmas list and unfortunately I’m one of them. Lol!

I haven’t finish buying gifts for my love ones and friends because of financial constraint. Yup! I over spend again with my initial buys and I’m really dying now on how I can buy all the gifts that I need to complete my Christmas list. So to make my burden a little lighter I told a friend of mine if she knows a way on how I can get discounts and buy gifts with a limited budget. Fortunately, she suggested me to use coupons and offered me an Apple Store coupon that she got as a price from their company’s Christmas party.

I was really happy to receive such coupon especially that I am planning to buy a gadget from Apple for my husband. Oh yeah, I haven’t bought anything for my hubby yet. Lol! But I will have it within this week just a few days before Christmas. Lol!

My mom and dad went out for a vacation last week. They opted to go south this time for they really want to enjoy the warm weather and the beautiful beaches. They were all set and was about to arrive on their destination when suddenly their car broke down. When my dad searches for some tools he found nothing on the compartment. Uh-oh!

It’s Sunday which means a day of rest for me. I started my morning with a hefty breakfast with my family and I was able to watch a movie afterward. The movie I thought of viewing today is “The Rise of the Planet of the Apes” which in my opinion is an okay film for me but not really the awesome. There were some flat scenes in the movie that I got bored with and some touching ones that I would want to mention. One of them is when the main character James Franco (also a cast in Spiderman sequels) wants to heal his father who has the Alzheimer’s disease. His father is currently under assisted living and he opted to do that so that he can monitor his father’s illness. He was a scientist and invented a drug that might heal the said disease which of course was tested on apes first. I couldn’t go on with the plot of the movie for I might end up spoiling the interest of those people who haven’t seen the movie.

Next month will be a busy month for the family. As said on my previous post, my dad’s store will celebrate its first anniversary and as early as now we are preparing for this special event. We thought of making it a big event for this will be the store’s very first celebration. One of the things that my dad thought of doing for the celebration is giving discounts on the first 100 customers who will enter the store that very day. He is also planning to have some great giveaways on every person that will buy in the store. The giveaways are useful products that will bear the name and contact number of the store. Despite the weird weather we’ve been having recently in NYC (90 degrees one day, 50 the next—what is that?!), spring is definitely here and with it comes the desire to wear a flirty sundress, eat lunch outside, and get highlights. Okay, maybe not everyone is like me in that the slightest increase in temperature sends them running to the colorist, but there’s definitely a connection between warm weather and lighter hair. Remember back when you were a kid and your hair would get lighter during the summer because of the sun’s natural effects? Well, unless you’re spending the next four months on a beach (if you are, keep that to yourself or you’ll make the rest of us insanely jealous), then your highlights are going to come from a bottle.

In order to make your man-made streaks look natural you should only go one or two shades lighter than your base color. But the real secret to gorgeous highlights is all in where you place them. A lot of colorists start at the root and evenly space out the streaks, which is fine, but Marie Robinson at Sally Hershberger Downtown in NYC gives me super-skinny highlights (about the width of angel hair pasta) mainly at my hairline with a few random bright bits at the ends. It might sound weird to leave out your roots, but I swear the results are really pretty, plus you can go way longer between color appointments. Since I became a stay at home mom, I’ve been finding ways on how to earn more from home. Some women, me included, weren't blessed with gorgeous "doe" eyes that look perpetually surprised. However, as long as I have makeup, I can fake it! If you have squinchy or small-looking eyes open your peepers with these tried and true makeup tips.

Go light! I blame it on the ever-popular smoky look that I do love so much. As a former makeup artist, I learned that you could get a smoky look without using black, brown or deep green colors. Go smoky but light! Blend in colors with a brush not a sponge applicator.

Buy quality eyeshadow.Not all eyeshadows are made alike. Cheap shadows are just colored powder with very little pigment. Invest in pretty, bold colors that will open the eyes.

Don't go topless! I cringe when I see women with tiny eyes line the lower lids only. Line the tops or the top and bottom -- never just the bottom. If your eyes are very small, ditch the lower liner. Line the top and extend the line a little past the natural eye line. This will lift and open the eye. Don't believe me? Do the eye test. Make one eye up with just the liner on top and the other with liner on bottom. Compare the two. You'll see the clear winner.

Curl those lashes. Wild and woolly eyelashes won't help your eyes look wider. Control your lashes with a eyelash curler. Do this once a day to train lashes to flip up and outward, creating a wider eye look.

Rim the eyes with white liner. White eyeliner is no stranger on the makeup scene but we do tend to forget about this tool. Make lining the lower eye rim with white liner the last step in your eye makeup regimen. All eyes will be on you with this added touch.

Go inside. Sweeping eyeshadow in the crease of the eye is a good way to create definition. One thing to avoid is applying eyeshadow too close to the edge of the eye. Instead focus on making an inverted arc, go from the inside of the eye outward.

Wear highlighting powder. Use a soft brush to sweep a shimmery highlighting powder around the eyes. Highlighting adds luminosity to your eye makeup look.

1. Use a paddle brush to remove any tangles, then comb your hair straight back so that you don't have a part.

My friend Mark just finishes his engineering degree last year and with that he immediately took the board exam as per advice by his mom. I am like that especially in my younger days and now that I am more matured, this kind of thinking just diminishes in me (which is a good thing) gradually.

As they say, for you to be happy you should follow your heart, believe in yourself and be yourself. That’s why from now on I’m totally out of their shadows and will pursue what my heart wants and what my heart believes.
