Time to do my Christmas List

Oh my! I can’t believe that tomorrow will be the first day of September already! Urgh! Time really flies so fast this days and I bet in just a few days we will start hearing Christmas songs everywhere.

Looks like will be seeing these giant snowmen again in the malls with my kids! Uh I’m so excited for that special day, especially now that I have two lovable boys tagging along. Lol! Well, does this mean I should start jotting down my Christmas list and my Christmas wish list? What do you think? Well, maybe I should and the first on my list is a goulds pump at that my dad has been asking me to look for. He needed it for his store and I really have no idea what it is for.

Anyways, maybe I really should jotting down my list as early as now and canvass for gifts as well. :)

Dependable Assisted and Independent Living at

It’s Sunday which means a day of rest for me. I started my morning with a hefty breakfast with my family and I was able to watch a movie afterward. The movie I thought of viewing today is “The Rise of the Planet of the Apes” which in my opinion is an okay film for me but not really the awesome. There were some flat scenes in the movie that I got bored with and some touching ones that I would want to mention. One of them is when the main character James Franco (also a cast in Spiderman sequels) wants to heal his father who has the Alzheimer’s disease. His father is currently under assisted living and he opted to do that so that he can monitor his father’s illness. He was a scientist and invented a drug that might heal the said disease which of course was tested on apes first. I couldn’t go on with the plot of the movie for I might end up spoiling the interest of those people who haven’t seen the movie.

Overall, the movie was fine. Anyways, with regards to senior care on assisted and independent living you can check out

Special Sticker Prints for the Store Anniversary

Next month will be a busy month for the family. As said on my previous post, my dad’s store will celebrate its first anniversary and as early as now we are preparing for this special event. We thought of making it a big event for this will be the store’s very first celebration. One of the things that my dad thought of doing for the celebration is giving discounts on the first 100 customers who will enter the store that very day. He is also planning to have some great giveaways on every person that will buy in the store. The giveaways are useful products that will bear the name and contact number of the store. That’s partying and advertising in one, right!?

I can say that those are fabulous ideas for the much awaited event. That’s why for everybody to know about this great news my dad assigned me to be in charge on the advertisement and giveaways. I’ve contacted some of our loyal suppliers and clients about recommendations about cool giveaways and I was able to file my final orders to my friend who will make all the giveaways. I’ve also contacted the best sticker printing shop in our place that will do some of our flyers and stickers as part of the store promotions. Well, I think I’m almost finish with my part and I just can’t wait to tell my dad about it.

Celeb Manicures: From Bright Colors to Bling

Katy Perry may be the queen of the out-of-this-world manicure (we've got four of her best ones here), but lots of celebs—from musicians to starlets—are rocking wild nails. These are some of our favorite styles—like polka-dots, studs and weird decals.

Katy Perry's "disco ball" nails may have been responsible for the whole wild mani trend in the first place.

Cute Cartoons

Leave it to Katy Perry to push the envelope with kittens and french fries on her nails.

Lacy Ladies

Another Katy Perry gem: These lace overlays are totally original—and also really sexy.

Featuring Faces

In honor of the Royal Wedding, the one-and-only Katy Perry wore pics of Wills and Kate on her nails.

Big-Time Studs

Ke$ha's another rocker who loves a loud mani. Here, her pyramid-studded nails play off her accessories.

Artsy Designs

Disney star Nicole Anderson rocks a lilac and teal abstract print.

New Lengths
Lady Gaga's signature nail look is long, bedazzled and definitely out there. (We want to know how she tweets wearing these!)

Pop of Color

Why wear just one bright color, when you can mix and match? Jessica Lowndes opts for pink—with a pop of coral on her ring finger.

Matching Metallics

Vanessa Hudgens also does the ring-finger thing! She wears a shimmery, silver mani with subtly green polish that plays off her eyeshadow.

Graphic Prints

Glee's Naya Rivera rocks a whimsical polka-dot print.

Bold Hues

AnnaLynne McCord may be a little too excited about her bright blue mani, but the color is certainly gorge.

This look was spotted backstage at many a fashion show last season. It's like a reverse French and works best in bright and metallic shades.

More Problem than Cure

Does one of your love one have diabetes? Do you analyze or study the medications that his or her doctors prescribed? Well, you better be because the medicines that he or she might be taking have more harmful effects on their health than benefits.

Just like what happen to a friend of mine who has a cousin who died from heart attack. It has been said that diabetes can lead to that complications and is usually the reason of most mortality with the disease but my friend didn’t stop for analyzing and studying the early death of his cousin. Apparently, the heart attack was not mainly caused by the disease itself (diabetes) but because of the medicine he took named Actos. Actos has been given by some doctors to diabetic patient who apparently gives more problem than cure. You can search the internet for more information. The family decided to file an Actos lawsuit to his doctor for malpractice. The case is still in progress and hopefully it will have a positive resolution very soon.

Sexy Hair Secrets

Whether you're single and on the prowl or attached and having a romantic dinner for two, make sure your hair looks its hottest on Valentine's Day. Read on for fun ideas and tips.

Go for Long Layers

Long layers will enhance your natural texture and give your hair a fuller look. Ask your stylist to snip you a few, especially around your face, like Carrie Underwood has here.

Tame Frizz

There's nothing sexy about frazzled, puffy hair. Apply a drop of shine serum (skip your roots) before blow-drying for smooth, glossy results, like Scarlett Johansson's. We're fans of L'Oréal Liss Ultime Shine Perfecting Serum, $23, since it's super-light.

Try a Side Part

If you have shoulder-length locks like Katy Perry, give them a glam date-night upgrade with some loose waves and a side part.

Get Megawatt Shine

Frequent blow-drying and constant curling iron use can leave your hair looking dull. For an instant shot of shine, try one of the new shimmer-infused stylers to get a look like Jessica Alba's. We're fans of Sebastian Trilliant, $19.95, which has mica glitter particles and protects hair from heat styling.

Bend Your Ends

Perfect root-to-tip spirals can look too "done." Take a cue from Zoe Saldana and wrap just the bottom few inches of your hair around a curling iron. Then, rub a bit of styling cream between your fingers and twist small sections of hair for a piecey effect.

Scent Your Strands

It can be tempting to mist your hair with perfume (especially for a big date), but most fragrances contain alcohol that can leave your strands dry and crunchy. A better option: Use a leave-in conditioner that smells awesome, like Victoria's Secret So Sexy Instant Detangler, $10. This stuff is seriously intoxicating, plus your hair will look soft and shiny like Meghan Fox's.

Tease Your Roots

The easiest way to make a simple ponytail or braid look hotter is with a little bit of volume at the crown. Position a fine-tooth comb about an inch away from your roots, then push the hair down a few times. Smooth the section back and mist with hairspray. (Check out how sexy the effect is here on Kate Beckinsale.)

Add Tons of Texture

Don't stress if your hair is naturally straight and flat — you can totally fake a fuller look, like Ashley Greene's. Spray volumizer all over damp strands, then blow-dry using your fingers to rough things up. Once your hair is completely dry, mist roots with dry shampoo (it fattens strands up big-time). We're fans of Samy Dry Spray Shampoo, $7.99.

Keep Waves Loose

The fresh way to wear wavy hair is slightly undone so it looks really touchable. For Kate Hudson's laid-back style, work a dime-size amount of smoothing serum into dry hair before wrapping random pieces around a large curling iron.

Make Your Mane Extra-Soft

Almost every hair type can benefit from a hydration boost. Deep-condition your strands once a week and they'll feel and look way silkier like Kate Middleton's. We're hooked on Garnier Fructis Moisture Works Instant Melting Conditioner, $3.99. It contains these cool micro-oils that sink right into your hair for immediate results.

The Help He Deserve

I am currently in search for an Austin personal injury lawyer that my client needs. Apparently, he needed to sue a person who‘s responsible for the disability of his nephew.

You see, a few weeks ago, his nephew Philip was on his way home when he met an accident. His car was hit by a ten wheeler truck which caused the total wreck of his car and his hips. Yes, unfortunately, one of his nephew’s major injuries was a broken hip. He went thru surgery and was fortunate to have it restored. But of course, he needed to take a leave from work and allow himself to get first before working again. He also needs to undergo physical therapy to walk properly and to return his hips from its proper function. These treatments and rehabilitation needs huge amount of money and that is why he needed to file damages to the plaintiff. He needs it to recuperate properly and the funds that the plaintiff will pay are definitely a big help.

Good thing, a friend of mine has recommended me to Austin Lawyers with this contact information - O’Hanlon, McCollom & Demerath – Personal Injury Lawyers – 808 West Avenue, Austin, TX. 78701 – 512-494-9949. Well, I'll contact them in a while and will see what's going to happen.

Would You Try Fake Bangs?

These super-pretty pics of 18-year-old, Nickelodeon star Victoria Justice are from three days in a row. But are you seeing what we're seeing about her morphing hairstyles?

She had awesome, piecey bangs on Friday but by Sunday they had totally disappeared...which makes us wonder if maybe her cute fringe was fake. Her bangs do look a lot like this very cool clip-in from Hairdo by Ken Paves and Jessica Simpson. Or it could just be that her stylist went crazy with the hairspray and hid those bangs incredibly well. Maybe. Regardless, the clip-in version may just be the perfect way to test out a sexy, bang-centric look.

Be Glamorously Sexy

My friend’s shower party will be next week and with that I am currently cramming because up to this time I haven’t bought her any gift for her special event! Urgh! My mind is blank of what to buy her. I wanted to give her something special yet surprisingly beautiful that she will adore it and will definitely use it every day.

Well, my sister told me to buy her a lingerie which she can use on the day of their honeymoon. But I am having second thoughts because lingeries here in our place are so dull that it might just ruined her honeymoon with her husband. So I browse the World Wide Web about it and fortunately stumbled upon

The moment I saw the website, I know that this is the place that I will buy the lingerie I need for my friend’s bridal shower. Glamorose sells different kinds sexy lingeries and accessories that are definitely to lure and to die for! Anyways, if you wanted to see what I’m talking about you can browse their website now and see for yourself.

How to Get (or Fake!) Thicker Eyebrows

Fuller arches are so sexy right now, but not everyone is blessed with a set. Fortunately, it's easy enough to get the look with a few tricks and the right products. These are some of our favorites—like a great push-up bra for your brows.

The Inspiration

We spotted this model backstage at the Spring 2011 DKNY runway show. While her makeup looks fresh, it's her full brows that give her that extra-special, come-hither something.

Pencil Them In

NYC brow artist Hibba Kapil uses this brow pencil to outline the shape of the brows. Then, you just have to fill them in.

Origins Fill in the Blanks, $15,

Pick a Powder

You can use a powder to make your brows look lighter or darker, depending on your hair color, what you're wearing and the thickness you're going for. This set is a major splurge, but you get three shades, brushes and tweezers.

Chanel powder, $65,

Try a Brush

For an overall darker look, dab an angled brush into powder and then wiggle it into your brows, following their natural shape. Brow artist Amy Kernahan developed this dual-ended version that you can also use to brush your brows into place.

Angled Brow Groomer, $24,

The Right Tools

Yes, you want fuller brows, but they shouldn't be crazy-bushy. Use a sharp tweezer with an angled tip to ensure that you only grab the hairs that pop up outside your arch.

Tweezerman Mini Slant Tweezers, $10.99,

Growth Potential

Step away from the tweezers! If you've overdone it, it's time to try a brow conditioner. This one contains all sorts of nourishing ingredients to help bring back the plucked hairs in a matter of weeks.

RevitaBrow, $71.99,

Hold 'em in Place

Brow guru Eliza Petrescu says that after you fill them in, it's majorly important to set your brows with a gel if you want the look to last.

Brow Shaper Gel, $25,

The Whole Kit and Kaboodle

For the girl who wants it all—thicker, fuller, darker—but needs a little hand-holding when it comes to DIY, this kit comes with instructions from Too Faced creator/makeup genius Jarrod Blandino.

Too Faced Brow Envy Kit, $35,

The Secret to Natural Looking Highlights

Despite the weird weather we’ve been having recently in NYC (90 degrees one day, 50 the next—what is that?!), spring is definitely here and with it comes the desire to wear a flirty sundress, eat lunch outside, and get highlights. Okay, maybe not everyone is like me in that the slightest increase in temperature sends them running to the colorist, but there’s definitely a connection between warm weather and lighter hair. Remember back when you were a kid and your hair would get lighter during the summer because of the sun’s natural effects? Well, unless you’re spending the next four months on a beach (if you are, keep that to yourself or you’ll make the rest of us insanely jealous), then your highlights are going to come from a bottle.

In order to make your man-made streaks look natural you should only go one or two shades lighter than your base color. But the real secret to gorgeous highlights is all in where you place them. A lot of colorists start at the root and evenly space out the streaks, which is fine, but Marie Robinson at Sally Hershberger Downtown in NYC gives me super-skinny highlights (about the width of angel hair pasta) mainly at my hairline with a few random bright bits at the ends. It might sound weird to leave out your roots, but I swear the results are really pretty, plus you can go way longer between color appointments. If you try this technique at home, ditch the applicator that comes in the kit and use a Q-tip to paint on the streaks exactly where you want them.

Check out Jennifer Garner’s version of the lighter-at-the-ends look. What do you think? Love it? Hate it? And are you itching to get highlights right now?

Video or Web Conference : What would you Choose?

I’m currently searching for some web conference options that my client needs for our communication. Apparently, other than chatting and talking via cell phone she needed to see me up close thru the use of the internet. She is currently residing in United Kingdom and after serving her for about a month now she wanted to know me more by talking to me face to face together with her team.

Though, we sometimes see each other thru the Video conference option on Skype, she needed a more thorough and more efficient tool especially now that are team is expanding. The current video conference that we are using sometimes causes us delays because of poor internet connection and bad resolution.

That’s why she instructed me if I can search a great tool in the internet that can enhance our communication more. Fortunately, after hours of browsing, I came across It is an online company that offers the most efficient and effective communication tool in the internet. They offer great Video, Audio and Web conference tools that will surely make any transaction a bliss. Anyways, I really have to summarize and arrange what I gather so I can submit all the data to my client. And hopefully by the end of this week we will be using the said tools.

More than a Europe Tour

I was online the whole day yesterday when my former boss Mae buzzes me. She is currently in Dubai and is working as a Cabin Crew or I think that’s Stewardess in the Emirates Airlines. After a few months of resigning from our old company she was fortunate to be hired by this huge airline services. Fortunately for her even though her height doesn’t really meet the requirements her beauty gave her a chance.

You see, she is the daughter of the owner of the company but unfortunately her interest doesn’t relate to any of their business. As said by her before, she is actually into selling girly stuffs beauty products, bags, clothes and her dream job was to travel all around the world. Luckily, she is now slowly fulfilling her dreams to have a around the world journey. Before she left our country to work as a cabin crew she joined her family for their first ever europe tours. After which, she immediately went to Dubai and started her training.

Now, she’s enjoying her new career path where she can have the italy tours she has been dreaming too! Not only that, because of this new job she has on her hand, she was able to grab a hottie in the cabin! Lol!

Seriously, I am so happy for her. Not only because she has finally found her dream job and had her first ever china tours a month ago. But also because she finally had the guts to stay away from the shadows of her family.

A Little Early for Christmas?

I was up early today because I was so excited to browse the internet on great gifts online. Are you wondering what kind of gift I’m looking for? Well, I’m actually looking for Christmas gifts for my family and friends! Lol! Yup! I decided to look for Christmas gifts as early as now for I don’t want to experience the Christmas rush fever that I’ve experienced last year.

The whole experience was really terrible and I really fell on my feet after I finish shopping! Urgh! But as they say, thank God for the internet! Now, I’m browsing some christmas gifts 2011 edition that are really unique and different from last year.

Great Communication is a Must

My sister in law called us a while ago. But unfortunately, we were having some signal problem especially when we switch on a conference call with our brother in law. This is a usual problem whenever we communicate with our relatives abroad. Due to poor signal we sometimes have to end our call early and just continue our communication while chatting.

That’s why my sister in law told me to look for cheap conference calls options that we can use every time they call us. And that’s what I’m doing right now. Hopefully, I could finish the whole search today and have the convenience of communicating thru conference calling.
